The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Pupil Support Worker for Redhall School on a fixed-term basis until 30 June 2027. The role is part-time, 26.5 hours per week across 39 weeks, with a pro-rata salary range stated below.

The successful candidate should be empathetic and have experience of working with children with additional support needs, many of whom have an Autistic Spectrum Condition. PVG scheme checks are required and the appointment is subject to safeguarding pre-employment checks.

Salary: £26,337 - £28,835 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours: 26.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional

Redhall School is looking for empathetic individuals to join our support staff team. Ideally the successful candidate should have experience of working with children with additional support needs

Redhall is a school for children of primary school age with complex long term Additional Support Needs primarily associated with learning disability. Many of the pupils have an Autistic Spectrum Condition. More information about our school is available on our website: https://redhallschool.com/

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. Anunconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
