A local education authority in Mid Calder is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to support learning in their nursery class. This part-time position requires working 14 hours per week throughout the school year and involves registration with the SSSC. The role offers flexible working arrangements and requires candidates to submit a PVG application within three months of their start date. We encourage diverse applications from all backgrounds.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our successful, dynamic and supportive school team within Mid Calder Primary School nursery class. The school is a non-denominational primary with 8 classes and a nursery class (ELC).
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable individual to join our nursery team to support learning on a Tuesday and Wednesday. The nursery is open 50 week per year and staff work flexibility on a rota across the opening hours.

This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
