City of Edinburgh Council in Edinburgh is inviting applications for Pupil Support Worker to join the Enhanced Support Base at Craigentinny Primary School. The role supports learners with additional support needs across the curriculum, promoting academic and social development.

Successful candidates will have experience in school settings and a flexible approach. This regulated role requires PVG scheme checks; safeguarding and inclusive practice are core priorities of our team.

Pupil Support Worker
Craigentinny Primary School

Salary: £27,257 - £29,850 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours: 27.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional

08.30 - 15.15 (M-Th) 08.30 - 12.00 (F)

Craigentinny is looking to appoint a highly motivated Pupil Support Workers to join our Enhanced Support Base (ESB) team. The successful candidates will have a passion, desire and commitment to working with young people with a range of additional support needs, helping them to thrive both academically and socially. Experience of working with individuals with additional support needs and of working in a school/education setting would be desirable. This is a dynamic role requiring flexibility in approach and the ability to actively support learners across our school curriculum.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
