The City of Edinburgh Council is hiring a Pupil Support Assistant at Hermitage Park Primary School in Edinburgh. The role supports pupils across the school and works within a collaborative team committed to pupil wellbeing.

Salary is £26,806–£27,032 per year (pro-rata for part-time and sessional), with 25 hours per week over 39 weeks. A PVG Scheme check and pre-employment checks are required. Flexible working is welcomed where possible.

This is an exciting opportunity as a Pupil Support Assistant to support pupils across the school at Hermitage Park Primary School.

Hermitage Park proudly serves the Restalrig, Leith and surrounding area. Situated in North Edinburgh, our school welcomes a diverse school community and works closely with feeder schools to Leith Academy. Our school is currently made up of 9 classes from P1 to P7 with a self contained nursery providing 30 full time, term time placements for 3 and 4 year olds.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. Anunconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
