Job summary

Ford & Stanley Talentwise is partnering with a leading utilities client to recruit a Junior Field Service Engineer. The role covers diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing submersible and centrifugal pumps on customer sites across the UK.

Full training will be provided to help you develop specialist pump skills and a strong customer‑facing service ethos. You will work to install, commission, and service pumping equipment safely, with a focus on quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience using hand tools and basic diagnostic equipment.
• Willing to travel to customer sites across the UK.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and undertake repairs on submersible and centrifugal pumps.
• Carry out planned maintenance, servicing, and inspections of pumping equipment.
• Support the installation and commissioning of new systems and equipment.
• Perform mechanical and basic electrical fault-finding activities.
• Complete service reports and maintain documentation accurately.
• Ensure compliance with site health, safety and environmental procedures.
