I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a client of mine who are actively seeking an experienced Pump Service Engineer for their Midlands Depot, this is for an established business.

Role and Location

Field Service Engineer - Pumps

Location: Midlands Depot

Salary: £36,000 - £38,500 + overtime & call-out pay

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: 01/06/2025

About the Role

An established and growing pump rental solutions provider is looking to appoint a Field Service Engineer to support their operations across the Midlands. This is a mobile role involving the service, repair, and maintenance of diesel and electric-powered pumping systems, both on-site and at the depot.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair faults on mechanical and electrical pump systems
  • Carry out planned maintenance and emergency breakdown support
  • Install and service pumps on customer sites
  • Maintain accurate service records and follow health & safety protocols
  • Participate in a call-out rota (enhanced pay applies)
Requirements
  • NVQ or equivalent in Plant Maintenance or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with pumps, engines, or heavy plant equipment
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • Comfortable working independently and dealing directly with customers
Desirable
  • Background in pump hire, plant hire, or utilities
  • Experience using lifting equipment
