As Publicist, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Immediate's consumer brand PR strategy. Working closely with the PR Brand Manager and PR & Comms Assistant, you'll help raise the profile of Immediate's market‑leading brands and editorial talent through news‑worthy editorial content, creative storytelling, outreach, and multi‑channel PR campaigns. This is an exciting new role ideal for a creative and enthusiastic comms person with experience spotting and shaping compelling stories and implementing innovative ways to generate media coverage for Immediate brands and content creators across a range of formats.

Contract: Full Time
Salary: £40,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with editorial teams to identify newsworthy content, data insights, and topical hooks for PR
  • Assist in the planning and execution of creative PR campaigns, including brand activations, events, and digital‑first initiatives
  • Support efforts to position Immediate's editorial experts and content creators as thought leaders across traditional and digital media
  • Draft press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, and social media copy to support PR activity
  • Track media coverage, compile reports, and evaluate campaign performance against KPIs
  • Work closely with marketing, social, and talent teams to ensure PR activity is aligned with broader brand goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, content creators, podcast hosts, broadcast producers and event organisers to secure coverage and opportunities for Immediate's brands and talent
  • Contribute creative PR ideas
  • Stay abreast of media trends and developments
Qualifications
  • Have experience of developing and delivering national media campaigns, using a variety of tactics, an excellent news sense, and excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus a strong contacts book
  • Strong understanding of the UK media landscape and what makes a good news story, with good contacts across lifestyle, entertainment, food, history and parenting, and strong contacts in broadcast media
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills and a flair for storytelling and creating innovative campaign ideas across multiple formats
  • Excellent eye for detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with precision
  • A team player who thrives in a fast‑paced, creative environment, confident of building strong working networks across the business and with external partners and agencies
  • Comfortable working across digital platforms, and exploring non‑traditional PR opportunities, including brand activation and partnership across traditional and social media outlets
  • Have an in‑depth knowledge of the cultural landscape
