Job description

We're seeking a Senior Publicist to lead flagship publicity campaigns across our Brands & Licensing (B&L) portfolio with a focus on the beloved blue heeler Bluey. You'll set campaign strategy, manage reputational issues, and mentor junior colleagues, playing a pivotal role in raising the profile of our brands. As this is a job share, you'll work closely with your counterpart to ensure seamless delivery and consistent leadership and help coordinate campaigns in the UK, EMEA and globally.

Responsibilities
  • Lead publicity campaigns for major B&L brands, securing high-impact media coverage
  • Shape campaign strategy and advise on brand positioning and narrative
  • Act as senior lead on reputational issues, drafting statements and advising stakeholders
  • Mentor and review the work of junior team members, sharing expertise and feedback
  • Oversee agency partnerships, budgets and resource allocation
  • Develop messaging frameworks and campaign calendars
  • Represent B&L in external forums, launches, and media events
  • Produce coverage reports and insights for senior stakeholders
  • Coordinate effectively with your job-share partner to ensure alignment and continuity
  • "careerSiteCompanyId" is used to send the request to the correct data centre
  • "JSESSIONID" is placed on the visitor's device during the session so the server can identify the visitor
  • "Load balancer cookie" (actual cookie name may vary) prevents a visitor from bouncing from one instance to another
Qualifications
  • Senior level PR/publicity experience, ideally in consumer, entertainment, or brand-driven sectors
  • Proven record of leading major campaigns and securing high-value media coverage
  • Strong strategic thinking and news judgement
  • Excellent writing, pitching and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience handling sensitive or reputational communications
  • Skilled at mentoring junior staff and providing leadership
  • Experience managing budgets and agency partners
  • Strong collaboration skills – comfortable working in a job-share
Desired but not required
  • Experience in licensing, consumer products, or entertainment IP
  • Experience running global or cross-market campaigns
  • Confident presenting to senior leaders and external media
  • Media training or spokesperson coaching experience
