Publication Operations Manager

The Publications Operations Manager is responsible for the execution of assigned medical, scientific and technical publications included in global disease publication plans. The manager will work closely with the Publications Leads for each assigned disease area to ensure quality, accuracy and scientific narrative flow.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Partners with HEOR and Global Medical colleagues to develop assigned publications within the global disease publication plans
  • Responsible for publication execution across disease areas
  • Ensures compliance with Vertex publication policy and external publication guidelines
  • Works with assigned vendor to ensure the publication is executed on time, within budget and with exceptional quality
Your Profile:
  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, or a related field is preferred, with significant experience in project management and team leadership.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects from inception to completion, with a focus on delivering results within scope, time, and budget constraints.
  • Typically requires 4 years of experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal functions and external stakeholders
  • Clear understanding of current publication environment, ICMJE, GPP3, and other global guidelines related to publications, scientific data communication, and transparency standards
  • Strong computer and database skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products and Datavision
  • Ability to manage vendors
