Job summary

Shropshire Council seeks a Public Transport Development Coordinator to lead the development and continuous improvement of the supported local bus network across one of England's largest rural counties. You will analyse performance data, design and review services, and develop innovative solutions in collaboration with operators, elected Members, communities and internal teams.

You will join the Passenger Transport Group to deliver outcomes that improve accessibility, value for money and service

Qualifications

Experience in transport, logistics, service planning or public service delivery.
Experience of developing or improving services, analysing performance data and using evidence to support decision-making.
Experience of leading projects, implementing service changes and coordinating teams or staff.

Responsibilities

Lead development and continuous improvement of Shropshire's supported local bus network.
Design and review bus services and analyse performance data.
Develop innovative transport solutions and oversee implementation of network changes.
Collaborate with operators, elected Members, communities and internal teams.
Coordinate projects and manage competing priorities with focus on customer outcomes.
