5 Star Recruitment is looking for a qualified legal professional to provide comprehensive legal, procedural and administrative advice across social services, education, property and planning for the County.

You will represent the County in Courts and Tribunals, draft documents and agreements, and keep committees and officers informed of legislative changes while upholding equality, diversity and wellbeing policies.

Qualifications

• Strong legal knowledge across council areas (Social Services, Education, Property, Planning, Employment, Highways).
• Excellent report writing and briefing skills.
• Proven ability to interpret legislation and apply it to practice.

Responsabilités

• Provides comprehensive legal, procedural and administrative advice to staff across allocated areas.
• Represents the County in Courts and Tribunals, including Public Inquiries.
• Drafts contracts, court applications and service level agreements as required.
• Negotiates with solicitors and third parties to settle documentation or disputes.
• Keeps officers and elected Members informed of legislative changes in their area of work.
• Upholds equality, diversity and wellbeing policies in all activities.
