Overview

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our well-known Wales based client to recruit for a Public Sector Procurement Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Be the focal point for the procurement offering, assessing, and reporting on clients' requirements to continually improve the services offered.
  • Engage with companies to ensure that they fully understand the needs of users in procuring projects both in a general sense and on specific projects.
  • Provide full range of call off support to all users throughout their building programmes or individual projects.
  • Develop and improve on your knowledge of construction and building materials sector in England to provide information to the team on key economic and social drivers.
  • Ensure compliance with public sector procurement legislation and provide guidance to colleagues, clients, and appointed companies.
Qualifications
  • Experience of undertaking regulated procurement of goods and/or services on behalf of Public Sector organisations
  • Understanding of best practice procurement
  • Knowledge of the Public Sector Procurement Regulations in England and Wales
  • Proven experience working with e-tendering platforms, including the creation, management, and distribution of procurement documents, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and internal processes.
