Job summary

Bury Council is seeking a motivated legal officer with a law degree (or equivalent) to join our friendly legal team in Bury town centre. The role involves handling a varied caseload including Right to Buy sales, enfranchisement, leases, licences and traffic orders.

Training will be provided, with a focus on developing client relationships and delivering high-quality legal advice. We offer flexible and agile working, 37 hours per week, and a comprehensive benefits package as a committed Living

Qualifications

• Law degree or equivalent (e.g., graduate diploma in law or Level 3 CILEX diploma in law & practice) is required.
• Ability to develop excellent relationships with partners and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Handle a caseload including sales under Right to Buy legislation, enfranchisement, leases, licences and traffic orders (training provided).
• Provide a first-class legal service within a public sector environment.
• Work collaboratively with client departments to support Bury’s vision.
