Job summary

Sellick Partnership is recruiting a Communications Officer for a Bristol-based public sector client. This interim, full-time hybrid role requires at least three days in the office each week.

Salary is £23.50 per hour PAYE. The Communications Officer will develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, support senior leadership engagement, monitor external developments, and ensure insights are shared across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Experience within the public sector.
• Experience preparing briefings, reports, or communications for senior audiences.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across teams and functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination and delivery of stakeholder engagement activities, including senior leadership visits and meetings.
• Support planning and delivery of online and in-person events for senior external audiences.
• Produce high-quality briefings for senior leaders ahead of meetings, events and stakeholder engagements.
• Monitor parliamentary and policy developments, providing concise summaries and insights to internal colleagues.
• Prepare evidence, briefing materials and background information for senior leaders.
• Develop and improve systems for managing stakeholder intelligence and engagement activity.
• Create engaging internal and external communications, including blogs and updates.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the wider team.
