Job description
Job Summary of Public Relations Assistant

Your role will be to support the delivery of the corporate stakeholder management strategy, being accountable for the administration and development of its key statutory consultative bodies, internal engagement and assisting with the delivery of strategic-level engagement and overall stakeholder intelligence.

Hours of work: 37.5hrs per week Monday - Friday.

Skills and Qualifications of Public Relations Assistant
  • Relevant degree or equivalent, including Stakeholder Management qualification, and Internal Communication qualification, or: previous relevant experience
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and management, both internal and external
  • Experience in stakeholder intelligence
  • Experience in internal communications roles
  • Experience of authoring content for internal social channels (e.g. Viva Engage, Intranet, Digital Screens)
  • Experience in marketing and media relations
  • Experience in event management
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages to an intermediate standard
  • You will also be required to occasionally handle media enquiries as part of an on-call rota
