Job summary

Baltimore Consulting is seeking a Public Health Practitioner for a permanent, hybrid role with the London Borough of Hillingdon. You will support a broad portfolio of health improvement, health protection and healthcare public health programmes, reporting to a Specialist Public Health Practitioner and shaping initiatives across life-course health.

Public Health Practitioner Permanent opportunity Hybrid Working London Borough of Hillingdon Salary £44,184 to £48,519 (dependent on experience)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Public Health Practitioner to join a forward-thinking Public Health Team, reporting into a Specialist Public Health Practitioner and supporting a broad portfolio of health improvement, health protection and healthcare public health programmes. Working across council, NHS partners and wider stakeholders, you will deliver key projects and initiatives that improve health outcomes, support prevention and reduce inequalities. Your Role as Public Health Practitioner:

• Deliver public health programmes and projects that improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities
• Support health needs assessments, JSNA development and evidence-based service improvement initiatives
• Engage with residents, communities and key stakeholders to understand local needs and influence positive change
• Contribute to commissioning, service development and implementation of local and national public health priorities
• Produce reports, presentations and recommendations that support strategic decision-making and prevention-focused approaches

Your Previous Experience as a Public Health Practitioner:

• Experience working within public health, healthcare, local government or a related environment
• Knowledge of health improvement, prevention, health protection and reducing health inequalities
• Experience using evidence, data and public health intelligence to support service planning and delivery
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively across organisations and communities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presenting to a range of audiences
