Role Overview

As an Environmental Health Officer, you'll play a vital role in:

  • Responding to and investigating service requests, primarily around noise and nuisance, while tackling other environmental concerns.
  • Using your expertise to advise, assist, and enforce legal standards under key legislation such as the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and the Control of Pollution Act 1974.
  • Conducting site visits, gathering evidence, and preparing legal notices to uphold community safety.
  • Participating in our out-of-hours service on a rota basis (with additional pay).
