Job summary

Public Health Scotland (PHS) is seeking a Public Health Intelligence Adviser to advance a programme of evidence projects focused on Community Wealth Building and life expectancy improvements. The post sits within the Public Health Science & Analytics Service and requires strong skills in data analysis, evidence synthesis, and stakeholder engagement across organisations.

Qualifications

Strong technical public health intelligence skills.
Sound knowledge of the social determinants of health.
Ability to present complex information to a range of audiences including non-specialists.
Excellent interpersonal and partnership working skills.

Responsibilities

Progress a package of evidence projects focused on Community Wealth Building and identifying interventions to improve Scotland’s life expectancy.
Map and analyse the policy landscape supporting Community Wealth Building and contribute to monitoring and evaluation of Scotland's Population Health Framework.
Conduct evidence reviews on what works to improve life expectancy at a national level.
Provide specialist evidence support towards the implementation of community wealth building legislation in Scotland.
