Salary: £42,839 - £47,180

Hours: 36.66 per week

Role overview

Working within the Council’s Data Intelligence and Insight Team, this role will provide expert data analysis, interpretation and reporting to support Public Health intelligence functions. The role helps inform evidence‑based decision making, service planning, health needs assessments and the evaluation of public health interventions.

Key responsibilities
  • Gather and interpret Public Health‑related data to identify trends, disparities and emerging issues.
  • Produce clear and concise reports and visualisations tailored to a variety of audiences.
  • Use findings to inform and shape public health policies, programmes and interventions.
Key Requirements
  • Ability and experience to analyse and interpret data and present it effectively to support decision‑making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence to challenge where appropriate based on evidence.
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills using tools such as Excel, R, Python and SQL, and experience with data visualisation software such as Power BI.
