Job Description JOB TITLE: Public Cloud Assistant Infrastructure Engineer SALARY: £ £48,987–£54,430 LOCATION(S): Halifax or Leeds HOURS: Full time WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in our Halifax or Leeds office location
As a Public Cloud Assistant Infrastructure Engineer, you'll support the design, build and operation of cloud-based infrastructure across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure. Working as part of an agile engineering team, you'll help deliver secure, scalable and resilient platforms that support critical services across Lloyds Banking Group. You'll gain hands‑on experience operating and enhancing Kubernetes-based environments, building and supporting CI/CD pipelines, and contributing to Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform. You'll also play a key role in monitoring platform performance, troubleshooting issues, supporting incident resolution activities, and helping to implement security controls, access management and governance standards. Alongside your day‑to‑day engineering responsibilities, you'll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, platform enhancements and agile ceremonies, while developing your expertise in modern cloud and DevOps practices. With training and support provided, you'll also participate in an on‑call rota, helping to ensure the stability and reliability of our cloud platforms.
