Job summary

PRCA in London is seeking a Head of Public Affairs to lead government relations, policy communications and public affairs initiatives. The role will drive strategic campaigns, liaise with government stakeholders and position PRCA as a thought leader within the sector.

You will manage budgets and oversee content for journals and member publications. You will work with the Public Affairs Board, monitor Parliament and policy developments, and prepare briefing materials for the CEO and Board.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in public affairs and policy at national level.
  • Strong government relations background and Parliament/Government understanding.
  • Experience in media relations and drafting reports.
  • Ability to develop, deliver and evaluate campaigns with evidence.
  • Proven track record engaging high-level influencers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement PRCA's public affairs strategy through campaigns and engagement.
  • Manage budgets and commission services to support activity.
  • Position the organisation as a thought leader through events and roundtables.
  • Secretariat to Public Affairs Board; develop workstreams.
  • Represent PRCA externally at trade bodies and regulatory forums.
  • Prepare briefings, speeches, and presentations for CEO and Board.
