Job summary

You will handle diverse client accounts with real responsibility from day one, drafting press materials and pitching stories to media while building lasting relationships across Westminster and Whitehall.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in an agency or in-house role.
• Excellent writer capable of producing clear, accurate copy quickly for journalists and executives.
• Follows politics and the news closely and understands how government works.

Responsibilities

• Drafting press releases, op-eds and briefing notes.
• Pitching stories to national, trade and broadcast journalists.
• Preparing clients for interviews and meetings.
• Tracking developments in Westminster and Whitehall, including inquiries and consultations.
• Delivering responses when issues break, including after-hours work.
• Media monitoring, press lists, stakeholder mapping and account administration.
