Job description

We are excited to be recruiting for a Pub Marketing Executive. This role will work closely with the Pub Marketing Manager to support our leased and tenanted estate with the communications strategy, including the development of centralised resources and online platforms.

Your day-to-day activities will include:
  • Supporting the marketing and communication needs of our pubs via a new CRM programme and data collection reaching our beer drinking customers directly.
  • Management of online review platforms and our centralised resource website.
  • Supporting the creative requirements of Pub Marketing Manager for digital display media and social media use.
  • Drafting regular campaigns to consumer database and develop and build on consumer database.
  • Developing and running CRM campaigns on behalf of pub businesses promoting individual businesses and our wider Thwaites brand
  • Utilising our CRM platform to manage data health and segmentation.
  • Developing and drafting regular campaigns to pub businesses to support usage of the website resource centre and general communications with pub businesses.
  • Regularly updating and developing new content (including but not limited to articles, infographics, videos and copy) for the resource centre website to support pub businesses.
  • Copywriting for a multitude of purposes including articles, guides and web pages.
  • Building new content on resource centre using WordPress (coding experience not required).
  • Building engagement and usage of central resource website to ensure support and ideas are accessed by pub operators using key analytics and metrics.
  • Liaising and communicating with colleagues and agency to develop new ideas and sections of website to ensure consistency and professional language and aesthetic.
  • Supporting the implementation and training of Reputation.com with pub businesses.
  • Offering remote support to both Pub Marketing Manager and pub operators on developing success with Reputation.com.
  • Creating key creative assets for digital display media and social media.
  • Supporting the Pub Marketing Manager on ad-hoc tasks and projects.

  • Knowledgeable on and able to demonstrate copywriting skills (for print, web and social media).

  • An exceptional communicator with the ability to influence colleagues and pub operators with great team working skills.
  • Able to project plan and work to strict deadlines.
Expieriece required:
  • Experience of working with customers, be engaging with a bright and positive approach.
  • Experience in a marketing role preferably running email marketing campaigns.
  • Basic understanding of GDPR.
  • Good level of IT skills: /email/ Microsoft office package (Excel/Word/Power point).
  • Experience of working with systems such as Canva, Adobe and Wordpress. Some experience of CRM systems preferable.
  • Able to demonstrate exceptional communications skills.
