J D Wetherspoon’s Barum Top Inn in Halifax is hiring floor staff to join a friendly, fast-paced team. No experience is required; a positive attitude, willingness to learn and composure under pressure are valued as you help serve drinks and food.

We offer training through UK Top Employer programs, flexible shift patterns, paid holidays, and opportunities for progression within the group as you gain experience across bars, kitchen and hotel areas.

Qualifications

• No experience required; good attitude, willingness to learn and calm under pressure.
• Structured on-the-job training and apprenticeships available.
• Shift patterns include mornings, evenings, weekends and late finishes.

Responsibilities

• Taking orders, preparing, dispensing and serving drinks to the correct spec, whether at the bar or via the customer app.
• Delivering food to customers, ensuring that check-backs are completed and clearing plates within the required timeframe.
• Providing friendly customer interactions: say "hello", thank customers and build rapport.
• Being knowledgeable about promotions, events and new products.
• Maintain our clean as you go standards, including clearing tables, wiping surfaces and carrying out toilet checks.
• Working in all areas, including glass-washing, restocking fridges, floor and beer garden clearing and other duties.
