Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a PTS Electrician to support a rail infrastructure programme in Cardiff and South Wales. The role runs nights over a 6-month contract with a rate of around £300+ per night for experienced candidates.

Responsibilities include installation, testing, maintenance and fault-finding of station-based electrical and SISS systems, plus CCTV/CIS/PA work. Applicants must hold PTS and ECS Gold, and be comfortable working nights in live railway environments.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Electrician within the rail sector.
• Valid and current PTS certification.
• Valid ECS Gold card.
• Experience working on railway telecommunications and SISS systems.
• Practical knowledge of CCTV, CIS and PA systems.
• Ability to work effectively on night shifts within live rail environments.

PTS Electrician (Nights)

Location : Cardiff, South Wales Rate: 300+ per Night Duration: 6-Month Contract

We are currently seeking an experienced PTS Electrician to support a programme of rail infrastructure works across station environments in and around Cardiff. This is a long-term night shift contract offering an immediate start and the opportunity to work on a high-profile rail telecoms and station systems programme.

The Role

Working within operational rail environments, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance and fault-finding of station-based electrical and SISS systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering works safely and efficiently across multiple station locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, testing and maintenance of electrical and SISS systems within railway stations.
• Working on CCTV, CIS and PA systems in accordance with project specifications.
