Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Psychological Therapist to work creatively and collaboratively with adults experiencing moderate to severe, complex and longstanding psychological difficulties. An ability to work with a range of different presenting needs and trauma modalities would be an advantage in this role. Professional development and innovative work are actively encouraged. We are committed to collaborative multi-disciplinary work, with positive links with partnership agencies and local universities.

The post will be supported through regular formal supervision, appraisal and mandatory training with professional advice/guidance available from senior clinicians. The post holder will provide psychological assessment and interventions within CTE. They will manage a caseload of service users and join the duty psychology rota. They will be responsible for providing psychological care, liaising with other professionals and agencies as well as managing and reviewing care plans, ensuring these are done collaboratively and in a recovery focused manner. The successful candidate will also be able to offer evidence based clinical decisions and treatment options, whilst working within professional guidelines, the framework of the service, observing both trust and national policies/ procedures. The post holder will work autonomously, maintaining registration and CPD requirements and regularly attend team/professional meetings. They will be clinically responsible to a senior psychological therapist and be asked to supervise trainees or members of the team. Clinical oversight of all work will be held by the clinical lead in the service.
