Location: Bolton
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Maternity Cover (until end of academic year)
Pay: 180 - 240 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a passionate Psychology Teacher looking for a rewarding new role from January 2026? We're recruiting on behalf of a Good-rated secondary and sixth form school in Bolton seeking a dedicated teacher to cover a maternity post teaching Psychology across KS4 and KS5.

The successful candidate will join a high-achieving, well-resourced department that values creativity, collaboration, and student engagement. There may also be elements of Health & Social Care within the timetable, so experience or confidence in this area would be highly desirable.

The Role
  • Teach Psychology (and potentially some Health & Social Care) across KS4 and KS5.

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students.

  • Monitor and assess progress, ensuring excellent outcomes for all learners.

  • Contribute positively to departmental planning and enrichment activities.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds QTS (or equivalent) and has experience teaching Psychology at KS4 & KS5.

  • Confident to deliver aspects of Health & Social Care if required.

  • Passionate, organised, and committed to fostering a love of learning.

  • Open to both experienced teachers and strong ECTs.
