Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant in St Albans to support pupils with additional learning, communication and social needs. You will work with teachers to encourage engagement and independence while observing progress.

You’ll contribute to classroom routines, support individuals and small groups, and share observations with the class teacher. A psychology degree or related qualification is ideal, and safeguarding checks are required.

• Encourage communication, confidence and independence.
• Share observations with the class teacher.

A psychology degree or a closely related qualification would be relevant. Experience through volunteering, mentoring, youth work or care is welcome, although previous school employment is not essential.

Appointment is subject to safeguarding checks, suitable references and an enhanced DBS.
