Job summary

Academics is recruiting a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant in Wokingham to start ASAP. The role offers £90 - £105 per day and provides valuable experience supporting children and young people with additional needs in a welcoming specialist school.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH, build positive relationships, support pupils academically, socially and emotionally, and assist teachers with personalised learning and intervention

Qualifications

• Psychology graduate or equivalent qualification.
• Patient, empathetic and resilient.
• Passion for supporting young people in education.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN.
• Support children with ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties and SEMH needs.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Support pupils academically, socially and emotionally.
• Assist teachers with personalised learning and intervention strategies.
• Help maintain a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
