Job summary

Veritas Education is seeking Psychology graduates to join partner schools as SEN Teaching Assistants in Hackney, North London. The role is full-time/term-time only with pay of £90-£120 per day and a Mon-Fri schedule from 8:30 to 16:30.

You’ll support pupils with additional needs and help implement learning plans in a supportive classroom setting. Responsibilities include one-to-one and small-group work under guidance, aiding behaviour management and promoting an inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Psychology or related field.
• Genuine interest in child development, mental health or education.
• Patient, empathetic and proactive.
• Experience with children or young people is desirable.
• Aspiring Educational Psychologists, Therapists or Teachers encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language).
• Working one-to-one and in small groups under the guidance of the SENCO and classroom teacher.
• Helping implement individual learning plans (EHCPs).
• Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation.
• Promoting inclusion and a positive learning environment.
