Job summary

Protocol Education are recruiting a Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in Sunderland. You’ll gain experience in SEND, behaviour, communication and learning while working Monday–Friday during school hours.

Role involves 1:1 and small-group support, assisting lessons and promoting positive behaviour. Previous experience isn’t essential, but an interest in educational psychology and supporting young people is valued.

Qualifications

• Psychology degree or related degree required or beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Empathy, patience and resilience help you support learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils.
• Assist lessons and encourage student engagement.
• Support interventions and reinforce learning.
• Help pupils develop independence and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with teaching and SEND staff.
