Job Title: Psychology Graduate, School Support Role
Location: Newcastle
Contract Type: Term time, long-term or potentially permanent
Hours: Full-time preferred, part-time considered

About the Role

If you’re a Psychology graduate and keen to put your skills to good use in a real school environment, this is a brilliant next step. We’re looking for someone who can support pupils across Newcastle, especially young people who benefit from consistent emotional, behavioural, or learning support.

It’s hands‑on, meaningful, and perfect if you’re exploring careers in educational psychology, SEND, youth work, or mental health.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, including those with SEMH needs, ADHD or other additional needs

  • Helping with observations, note taking, and contributing to pupil assessments

  • Putting in place strategies created by SENCOs and psychologists

  • Helping pupils access learning, from literacy and numeracy to social skills

  • Working closely with teachers, support staff, and external professionals
