Psychology Graduate - Teaching & Learning Support (Harrow)

Perfect for psychology graduates looking to gain hands‑on experience in education, SEN support, or mental‑health‑related roles.

This role is ideal for psychology graduates seeking practical experience working with young people in a school setting. You will support teachers, pastoral teams, and students across the school, with a focus on learning, behaviour, and wellbeing. Your duties will include:

  • Supporting students with additional learning needs, including those with SEN, SEMH, autism, ADHD, or anxiety.
  • Working 1:1 or with small groups to help develop emotional regulation, social skills, and confidence.
  • Assisting in the classroom to ensure students remain engaged and on task.
  • Helping teachers deliver tailored interventions and behaviour support strategies.
  • Observing and recording student progress, behaviour patterns, and wellbeing indicators.
  • Supporting pastoral and safeguarding teams where appropriate.
  • Encouraging positive relationships, participation, and resilience among students.
  • Assisting with general classroom duties, homework support, and study tasks.
Requirements
  • A degree in Psychology (or a closely related field).
  • A genuine interest in child development, mental health, and educational psychology.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, patient, and supportive approach.
  • Previous experience working with young people or vulnerable groups is desirable but not essential.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
