Job summary

Starfyn Education is seeking Psychology graduates to join schools as SEN Teaching Assistants in the Twickenham area. This role offers hands-on experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a pathway toward roles in Educational Psychology or related fields.

You will work under the guidance of teachers and SEN coordinators, supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and other needs, while promoting inclusive learning and positive behaviour.

Qualifications

• Recent psychology graduate seeking hands-on SEN experience.
• Interest in educational psychology or child development is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.
• Help pupils engage with lessons and access the curriculum.
• Support academic, social and emotional development of pupils.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Help pupils develop coping and emotional-regulation strategies.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Support teachers with classroom activities and interventions.
• Collaborate with SENCOs and other professionals to plan support.
