Job summary

Priory Hospital Preston in Bartle, near Preston, seeks a part-time therapist to join our mental health team. You will assess needs, deliver person-centred therapeutic interventions, and work with service users, their families and carers, plus the wider multidisciplinary team to promote wellbeing and independence.

Requirements include HCPC registration and accreditation from BABCP/BCP/BPS or equivalent. We offer on-site parking, enhanced maternity pay, a contributory pension, flexible benefits

Responsibilities

• Assess needs of people we support and deliver high-quality, person-centred therapeutic interventions promoting mental, emotional, physical and social well-being.

• Develop and deliver tailored therapy programmes with input from service users and multidisciplinary team.

Based in Bartle, near Preston, Priory Hospital Preston is a 50-bedded mental health hospital, offering an extensive range of services, delivered across four wards. We can support adult males and females with acute mental health needs and eating disorders, and specialise in the management and treatment of these conditions.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll assess the needs of the people we support and deliver high-quality, person-centred therapeutic interventions that promote their mental, emotional, physical, and social well-being. Working closely with service users, their families, carers, and the wider multidisciplinary team, you’ll develop and deliver tailored therapy programmes that support individuals to achieve their goals and maximise their independence.

You’ll respond promptly to referrals, carry out comprehensive assessments, and plan, implement, and review effective treatment programmes using a range of evidence‑based therapeutic approaches and interventions. You can find additional information in the attached job description.

• Hold professional registration with HCPC

Accreditation from the relevant professional institution (BABCP, BCP, BPS or equivalent).
