Job summary

The Witherslack Group’s Millcourt School in Shelf, Yorkshire, is hiring a Clinical Psychologist to join a multi-disciplinary team. This role is based at Millcourt School, 3 days a week, supporting children and young people with complex needs including Autism, ADHD and SEMH.

You will conduct clinical assessments, develop individualized interventions, and collaborate with schools, children's homes, and residential teams to embed therapeutic practice across care and education.

Qualifications

• Be HCPC registered as a Clinical, Educational, Forensic, or Counselling Psychologist.
• Proven skills in assessing and supporting interventions for children and young people with complex needs.
• Experience in creating living and learning environments that support therapy.

Responsibilities

• Support educational and residential colleagues in creating therapeutic living and learning environments.

Your Role

This position is based at Millcourt School, working 3 days a week. As an independent specialist day school located in Shelf, Yorkshire, we provide high-quality education for boys and girls with diverse needs, including Autism, ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

As a vital member of our multi-disciplinary clinical team, you will:

• Support educational and residential colleagues in creating therapeutic living and learning environments.
• Conduct clinical assessments and formulate individualized interventions for our young people.
• Collaborate with schools and children's homes to ensure therapeutic support is integrated into every aspect of care.
• Provide consultations, workshops, training, and guidance to educational and residential teams.

Qualifications

• Be a qualified Clinical, Educational, Forensic, or Counselling Psychologist registered with the HCPC.
• Have proven skills in assessing and supporting therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs.
• Experience in providing clinically informed living and learning environments.
• Be a confident and engaging leader, ready to inspire and guide others.
• Be highly organized and proactive.
• Be committed to achieving the best outcomes for young people.
