Job summary

Priory Hospital Preston, part-time 20 hours per week, is recruiting a HCPC-registered therapist to join a small, multidisciplinary team at Bartle, near Preston. The role involves delivering person-centred therapeutic interventions for adults with acute mental health needs and eating disorders, across four wards, with on-site responsibilities and a focus on independence and recovery.

Ideal candidates will hold HCPC registration and accreditation from BABCP, BCP or BPS, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the needs of people supported and deliver high-quality, person-centred therapeutic interventions promoting mental, emotional, physical and social well-being.
  • Collaborate with service users, families, carers and the multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver tailored therapy programmes.
  • Respond to referrals, conduct comprehensive assessments, and plan, implement and review effective treatment programmes using evidence-based approaches.

Priory Hospital Preston is a 50-bedded mental health hospital, offering an extensive range of services, delivered across four wards. We can support adult males and females with acute mental health needs and eating disorders, and specialise in the management and treatment of these conditions.

What you'll be doing

You'll assess the needs of the people we support and deliver high-quality, person-centred therapeutic interventions that promote their mental, emotional, physical, and social well-being. Working closely with service users, their families, carers, and the wider multidisciplinary team, you'll develop and deliver tailored therapy programmes that support individuals to achieve their goals and maximise their independence.

You'll respond promptly to referrals, carry out comprehensive assessments, and plan, implement, and review effective treatment programmes using a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and interventions.
