Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (Band 5) for full- or part-time work at Hospital Road, Bury St Edmunds. The role offers 37.5 hours per week with on-site work initially and a salary of £32,073 to £39,043 per annum.

We deliver NHS Talking Therapies across Norfolk and Suffolk and are expanding our Wellbeing Suffolk team with a focus on professional development, flexible working and a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner with competencies in delivering clinical sessions.
• Experience working within stepped-care models and NICE-guided interventions.
• CPD and professional development support offered by the service.
• On-site working with flexibility after six months and potential travel across sites.

Main duties of the job

you'll already be a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, experienced in delivering quality clinical sessions to clients and keeping up to date with advances in psychological therapies. Our PWPs work within the stepped care model, in accordance with NICE guidelines and approved clinical interventions.

This is what Wellbeing Suffolk offer:

• Please note you will be expected to work on site for the full duration of your working hours initially, with flexibility reviewed during your first 6 months in role. Following review, a minimum of three days working on site is required.

Person specification

Qualifications

• Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner qualification OR
• Experienced and Qualified Graduate Mental Health Worker with relevant experiences and competencies as required
• A qualification in provision of supervision Training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, counselling or within a psychological therapy
• Psychology or other health related undergraduate degree

Experience

• Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge of mental health practice from previous experience
• Evidence of working in the local community

Skills

• Effective analytical and decision -making skills
• Care planning skills

Knowledge

• Models of risk assessment and management.
• Awareness of serious mental health presentations (psychosis, bi-polar).
• Medication and the monitoring of its effects.

Other

• An understanding of the context of IAPT stepped care.
• Car driver or ability to travel independently, and willingness to travel to locations throughout the organisation.
• Fluent in languages other than English.
