A leading electric vehicle company in Dundee is seeking an experienced PSV Vehicle Examiner to conduct inspections and maintain standards for electric coaches. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience, IRTEC accreditation, and knowledge of PSV regulations. We are at advanced stages in developing new charging hubs in Oban, Livingston and Glasgow, with many more sites in the pipeline.
We’re looking for an experienced PSV Vehicle Examiner to join our team in Dundee that works across our fleet – 78 electric coaches at the moment, and growing fast. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining our reputation for excellence by conducting thorough vehicle inspections, identifying and rectifying defects, and ensuring compliance with all relevant DVSA requirements.
This role will be at the heart of the team that we are building across Scotland.
The ideal candidate will be experienced, energetic and confident with the passion to stay on top of the latest developments in the electric vehicle market.
This is a truly unique challenge - our coaches are used more intensively than any other electric vehicles in the world so not every problem will have a solution that can be found in a manual. Instead, the team often need to work closely with the manufacturer, go deep into understanding root causes and think creatively about how we could be avoiding the problem altogether in the future.
We’re looking for a problem-solver who will help to identify and resolve issues quickly, and will relish the challenge of joining a team that will make our state of the art fleet the best-maintained in the country with the lowest downtime.
We currently have a team of nine employees dedicated to fleet maintenance. You’ll form part of a department that brings allaspects of our maintenance in-house as we continue to grow.
We use technology heavily in the business, primarily building our own software systems. You'll need to be tech-savvy, open to learning new systems and comfortable using remote diagnostics.
