Job summary

Aspire People Limited is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a PRU environment in Bolton. The role focuses on helping students manage emotions and engagement in learning, with a rewarding challenge for candidates experienced with complex needs.

You will work with the school's SLT to monitor progress, support academic and social development, and build positive relationships to support wellbeing. Availability for a full-time role starting September is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a UK school – ideally a PRU or specialist school.
• Previous experience working with challenging behaviour and additional needs
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to managing challenging behaviour
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• A proactive and resilient attitude towards supporting young people with complex needs
• Team Teach would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Supporting young people with challenging behaviour and emotional struggles
• Working with the school's SLT to discuss challenges, and monitor progress
