Job summary

VRS-UK is seeking an experienced Protein Scientist to contribute to drug discovery by advancing recombinant protein expression and purification for structural biology and biophysical studies.

The role involves developing expression in prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems, optimizing purification with AKTA, and producing proteins for multidisciplinary projects. Collaboration with internal and external teams will be essential for success on this 2-year fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

• PhD with postdoctoral or industry experience in protein sciences.
• Strong background in recombinant protein expression and purification.
• Experience with chromatographic techniques and protein characterization (AKTA).
• Experience with membrane proteins or multi-subunit protein complexes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

We're recruiting on behalf of a successful pharmaceutical company seeking a talented scientist to join its Molecular Sciences team. You'll play a key role in developing recombinant protein expression and purification strategies to support structural biology, biophysics and early-stage drug discovery programmes.
