Job summary
Siemens Mobility in Manchester is seeking a Proposals Engineer to join our Project Execution team. You will translate complex engineering challenges into winning technical and commercial solutions that help clients digitalise and automate operations.
You will lead the bid process, ensure proposals are technically accurate and submitted on time, and collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Legal and Finance to align with business goals. Travel occasionally is expected.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Software) or related field.
- Experience in proposals, applications, or project engineering.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, Drives and Industrial Automation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end bid process, ensuring proposals are technically accurate and commercially viable.
- Translate complex client specifications into persuasive technical descriptions and clear scopes.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Legal and Finance to align proposals with goals.
- Develop pricing models and commercial terms while mitigating risks.
- Analyze bid outcomes and maintain proposal templates repository.
