Job description

We’re looking for a proactive leader to drive cross‑functional projects that shape the future of our property portfolio. In this role, you’ll collaborate with teams across the business to deliver strategic initiatives, ensure financial requirements are met, and create innovative solutions that support long‑term growth.

  • Shape the future of our estate by delivering the annual Estate Review—bringing insight from catchment, financial, and property data to spot trends and recommend actions at both store and estate level.
  • Lead exciting cross‑functional projects aligned to our strategic blueprint, such as car park and PFS initiatives, driving innovation and collaboration across teams.
  • Partner with key stakeholders including SRM, Customer Insight, and Channels (including Online) to ensure every store has the right space strategy—inside and out.
  • Own the Property Strategy for our store estate, identifying opportunities for estate management, disposals, and asset optimisation, and working closely with Location Planning and Assets & Estates through governance processes.
  • Plan for success by monitoring workload, identifying resource needs, and collaborating with leadership to set priorities—helping deliver the vision of the Head of Property Strategy & Planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement by spotting opportunities to enhance our ways of working—whether through better processes, training, tools, or systems.
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong data visualization capabilities to bring trends and recommendations to life.
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence in delivering engaging presentations to senior stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of retail performance analysis, combining property, catchment, and financial data to inform strategic investment decisions.
  • Significant experience working with locational and/or spatial data, ideally supported by a relevant degree (e.g., Geography, Property, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics).
  • A broad understanding of financial metrics and how they influence successful investment decisions.
