We are seeking an experienced Property Solicitor to join our in-house Legal Team and take ownership of a varied caseload of residential property matters. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive legal professional to work across Right to Buy, Right to Acquire, staircasing, shared ownership and leasehold issues, while providing practical, commercial advice to colleagues across the organisation. You will also liaise with external legal partners, support process improvements, and help embed best practice across the business, ensuring that our legal services are efficient, compliant, and add real value.

This is a hybrid role, predominantly based in our Liverpool office, with regular travel to our St Helens and Warrington offices in line with business needs. There is flexibility to home, however, team days will be held in Liverpool on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Manage a varied caseload of residential property work including RTB, RTA, staircasing, shared ownership and leasehold queries.
  • Provide clear, accurate and timely legal advice to colleagues and client departments across the Group.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external legal providers, ensuring services are effective, compliant and offer value for money.
  • Maintain awareness of the commercial property portfolio and offer support where required.
  • Deliver training to colleagues to promote knowledge sharing and efficiency.
  • Keep up to date with legislation, regulatory changes and internal policies.
  • Identify risks, propose appropriate controls and ensure compliance with legal and organisational frameworks.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements across the legal function.
  • Support the Group Head of Legal Services in achieving team and organisational objectives.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Degree-level education or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A recognised professional legal qualification (SRA or equivalent).
  • Significant experience managing a caseload of residential property matters, including transactional work and drafting leases.
  • Proven ability to support and partner with internal stakeholders in a busy operational environment.
  • Experience improving processes, delivering value for money, and working collaboratively in a cross-functional setting.
  • Strong IT literacy and confidence adopting new systems and ways of working.
  • Ability to take ownership of your workload and work effectively within a small in-house team.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with colleagues, customers and external partners.
Interview Process:
