I am currently working with a well-established Housing Association in Edinburgh who are looking to appoint an experienced Property Services Manager to lead and manage their property services function. This could be a perm or temp role depending on your requirments.

This is a senior operational role, responsible for delivering high-quality, customer-focused property management, maintenance, and compliance services across the Association's housing stock.

The Role

Reporting to the Property Services Director, you will:

  • Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary Property Services team, including technical, compliance, planned maintenance, and administrative staff
  • Oversee reactive, planned, and cyclical maintenance programmes, ensuring quality, safety, and value for money
  • Ensure full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including gas, electrical, fire, asbestos, legionella, damp & mould, and CDM
  • Manage contractor performance, budgets, KPIs, and service delivery standards
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of asset management and investment programmes
  • Oversee void performance and estate maintenance services
  • Prepare performance, compliance, and financial reports for senior management and Board reporting
  • Deputise for the Property Services Director when required
About You

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in a Property Services / Asset Management / Maintenance leadership role, ideally within social housing or a similar regulated environment
  • Strong knowledge of property-related health and safety compliance
  • Experience managing teams, contractors, and budgets
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • A relevant professional qualification (or equivalent experience) is desirable
