Job Title: Area Surveyor (Building / Maintenance / Project management), Leisure & Hospitality

Location: London, Home counties

A leading hospitality and leisure group is looking for experienced Area Surveyors to join their Estates team. You’ll be responsible for the upkeep and investment of a portfolio of around 60 pubs and hotels, covering both minor refurbishments and major projects exceeding £2m.

This field-based role requires travel across London and Home Counties. You’ll manage your own workload, liaise with contractors and consultants, and ensure properties are safe, compliant, and maintained to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect sites, prepare reports, and identify maintenance needs
  • Plan and manage refurbishment and investment works
  • Ensure legal and health & safety compliance
  • Work closely with internal teams and external consultants
  • Oversee budgets, tenders, and project delivery
  • Advise on planning, party wall matters, and statutory notices
Requirements:
  • RICS qualified or equivalent experience in hospitality/leisure property
  • Strong knowledge of M&E, trade kitchens, and listed buildings
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Full UK driving licence
