A leading heritage organization is seeking an Operational Manager to oversee visitor experiences at Claydon. The ideal candidate will possess strong operational management skills, leadership capability, and an ability to enhance service quality. We'll run collaborative operations across visitor experience, programming and facilities to ensure every visitor has a best possible day and discovers the trust's work for themselves. You'll do whatever it takes to maintain high presentational standards internally and externally, support business continuity, security, safety, compliance and maximise commercial and fundraising potential. Working with the visitor experience manager and other department leads, you'll shape the long‑term vision for Claydon and develop a welcoming culture.
You'll be expected to work some weekends and evenings, as required. This role also includes Key Rep duties on a rota with two other staff. One in every three weeks (average) will involve providing out of hours cover during which time you must reside in the house.
