Category: Express Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a growing property management provider who are seeking a reliable and proactive Property Maintenance Manager to join their friendly team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands‑on individual who enjoys variety and takes pride in maintaining high standards across residential developments. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of up to c£15.00 per hour (D.O.E), alongside a company vehicle, fuel card, and uniform. You’ll work Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm, travelling between sites across Essex and Kent.

The successful candidate will carry out caretaking, cleaning, compliance checks, and basic maintenance work to ensure each site is safe, clean, and well‑presented.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Carry out cleaning and caretaking duties across communal and external areas
  • Perform litter picking, sweeping, and waste management
  • Complete minor repairs such as fixing door handles, painting touch‑ups, and replacing light bulbs
  • Undertake basic trade‑related tasks (e.g. plumbing, decorating, joinery)
  • Conduct compliance checks including fire alarm testing, emergency lighting, and water temperature checks
  • Maintain accurate records through app‑based reporting systems
  • Identify and report potential hazards or larger maintenance issues
  • Deliver excellent customer service to residents and property managers
Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in caretaking, facilities, or general maintenance roles
  • Basic trade skills (plumbing, decorating, electrical, joinery etc.)
  • Full UK driving licence – company vehicle provided
  • Understanding of health & safety and compliance checks
  • Confident using smartphones or app‑based systems for reporting
  • Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
  • Professional and approachable with a customer‑focused attitude
