Job Description
- Support fee earners and handle a variety of property‑related disputes, including service charge issues, lease reviews, and tribunal or county court claims.
- Prepare legal documentation and manage case files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Liaise with clients and third parties to maintain smooth progression of matters.
- Gain exposure to complex property litigation while working closely with senior lawyers in a dynamic environment.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Property Litigation Paralegal should have:
- A legal qualification or relevant educational background in law.
- Experience in handling property litigation matters.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and document preparation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years' paralegal experience in real estate litigation, gained either in‑house or in private practice.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of tribunal and county court claims, property law principles, and ability to explain legal processes clearly.
- Document Review: Ability to review leases, transfers, and other property‑related documents with accuracy.
- Specialist Knowledge: Familiarity with the Building Safety Act 2022 is highly desirable, as well as knowledge of statutory lease extensions and collective enfranchisement claims.
- Skills: Excellent organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, and strong team collaboration.
- Personal Attributes: High degree of integrity, reliability, and attention to detail.
