Zusammenfassung

Weightmans Llp recruits a lawyer to join the Local Government Team based in either Birmingham or Leicester. You will assist on high value and complex property damage claims arising from infrastructure issues and natural events, including pre-action work and High Court TCC litigation.

You will also handle lower value FT/MT property damage matters with scope to progress to larger cases, under supervision. A junior lawyer with keen interest in disputes and litigation is welcome.

Qualifikationen

• Experience handling PL, EL and Highways property damage claims.
• Able to meet court deadlines and manage witness evidence.
• Strong drafting and analytical skills.

Aufgaben

• Handle or assist on PL property damage claims for residential/commercial properties and infrastructure.
• Support senior fee earners with case management, research, and instruction drafting.
• Attend client meetings and court hearings; liaise with clients, opponents, courts and witnesses.
• Respond promptly to correspondence and enquiries; work with supervision as required.
• Help achieve financial and chargeable targets; support business development activities.
